My family and I were in Cabo two weeks ago.
We took a day and drove out to one of our favorite places on earth, Flora Farms, to indulge in world-class organic food and bask in the beauty of what feels like a jungle farm.
Later that night, lying in bed, I felt this overwhelming wave of gratitude come over me as I pondered a simple question:
How many humans, and how many hours of labor, went into creating that single, extraordinary day for my family?
The farmers.
The builders.
The designers.
The cooks.
The drivers.
The car.
The fuel.
The materials.
The systems that made it all work.
It struck me how absurdly interconnected and capable the modern world actually is.
And why I can't understand being anything other than what Matt Ridley calls a rational optimist.
Just look around.
There has never been a more opportunity-rich time to be alive.
Now, is opportunity scary? Of course.
Opportunity means change.
It means leaving things behind.
It means stepping into the unknown.
That's the nature of progress.
I'm sure when the automobile first appeared, there were plenty of people with horses who thought the world was ending.
"How dare we abandon what's always worked?"
But progress doesn't ask for permission.
And the future has a way of arriving whether you're ready for it or not.
When I look at how far humanity has come, and at the tools available today, it's hard not to feel hopeful.
Especially if you're a builder.
Especially if you're a creator.
The fact that you can stand up an app today, in a matter of weeks, without knowing how to code would have been unthinkable even a few years ago.
The leverage available to a single capable human right now is insane.
That's why, while many people are afraid of the future and anxious about AI, I'm watching a different group.
The producers.
The Good Kings.
The Servant Leaders.
Men who see tools as leverage to solve meaningful problems.
Who build from love instead of greed.
Who want to turn this massive rock flying through space into something a little more like heaven.
Because the future is coming, and the relentless pace at which it's moving isn't slowing down.
There will be people who use these tools for good. And people who use them for manipulation and extraction.
You don't have to look far to see examples of scammers using AI to fake testimonials, deceive customers, or blur the line between truth and illusion.
And here's the deeper issue…
While there has never been more opportunity available to a single human, there has also never been more distraction competing for his attention.
Creation has never been easier. Focus has never been rarer.
More tools.
More information.
More leverage.
And more men quietly living at the edge of their capacity.
This is why having a Personal Operating System (OS) designed for both the current climate and the season of life you're in matters more now than ever.
Because the man who does not control his OS has his OS programmed against him.
Turning abundance into overwhelm. Leverage into noise. And potential into exhaustion instead of impact.
The winner in this era isn't the man with the best opportunity.
It's the man with an OS capable of executing on it.
A Total Man with the right OS can be more effective in four focused hours than the Mainstream Man grinding for twenty.
Not because he works harder.
But because his system protects his energy, attention, and decisions from being hijacked.
In an age of infinite inputs, structure is the ultimate advantage.
Opportunity alone isn't enough.
Without a streamlined OS, abundance turns into overwhelm, burying the very genius meant to create, contribute, and move the world forward.
There has never been more available to us. And there has never been more distraction.
The only questions are whether you're equipped to build with it, and whether you're willing to carry the responsibility that comes with that power.
Big love,
James
P.S. Next week I'm hosting a free workshop where I'll walk through the upgraded Total Man OS.
There's been a version 1.0. A version 2.0. And for the last year, I've been rebuilding the system for what 2026 is actually demanding. This will be version 3.0.
This is the first time I'm bringing these ideas together and teaching the upgraded system end to end.
I'll show you how to design a personal operating system that's built for this moment, and the season of Kingship you're in right now as a man.
Because if you feel overloaded, it's likely not an effort problem. It's that your current OS wasn't built for the level you're playing at now.
This session will be free once. It won't be free again.
Hit reply with "skip" if you want the early invite.
